Well its been somewhat of a wild year, with a massive career shift IRL and long stretches away from home and keyboard, but I wanted to share that I’m still writing and creating! This year marked the tail end of One Way to Graduate, another short called Burying the Lead, and a lot of progress on Book 4 of Dollhood. I’ve made some great headway on that finale, but there are a lot of threads to wrap up. I think if I rushed it I could get it done by the 31st, but after so many years of work it deserves to be done right.

In the meantime, here’s a callback to my Christmas one-shot Spending the Holidays Inside, which won a writing challenge when it came out, and inspired my current movement toward softer and more character-driven writing, even when the disabilities drift toward the edges of reality. A great artist archellpelagone has taken the time to really iron out Larissa and her body language post-injury. I’ve never had a more considered, patient, and selfless experience with an artist, it was incredible. Check out their profile, they’re running a sale at the moment, and have some intense work. I knew no one else could do that off-medical vibe that exists in this story.
